AFROTC Program

Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) is a college program that prepares you to become an officer in the world’s greatest Air and Space Forces. It is a challenge. It is an opportunity. Components

The Air Force ROTC program is comprised of two, two-year courses, the General Military Course (GMC) followed by the Professional Officer Course (POC). Between the two is the only required summer commitment, Field Training. Finally, passing the Air Force’s unique aptitude exam, the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT), is a requirement for earning a commission in the Department of the Air Force as a second lieutenant.

Getting Started

To launch a Department of the Air Force career through AFROTC, you must first speak with the detachment’s Recruiting Officer. If accepted, you will then need to enroll in the appropriate Aerospace Studies (AS) class and corresponding Leadership Laboratory (LLAB). AFROTC courses are accredited and offered to the entire student body. Once you have enrolled, you are eligible to begin the application process, which includes a physical exam.
