Scholarships

Air Force ROTC offers scholarships through two programs, the High School Scholarship Program (HSSP) and the In-College Scholarship Program (ICSP). Applications and more information can be found on the Air Force ROTC Scholarships page.

High School Scholarship Program

The Air Force ROTC High School Scholarship Program (HSSP) offers four-year scholarships to high school seniors. Those interested must submit their applications before the start of their senior year, typically before 1 September. These scholarships are competitive, and based on a whole-person concept.

In-College Scholarship Program

The Air Force ROTC In-College Scholarship Program (ICSP) offers active cadets 3- or 2-year scholarships on a limited basis. Applications are submitted through AFROTC detachment cadre, and are considered based on performance and merit.

General Charles McGee Leadership Award

The General Charles McGee Leadership Award (CMLA) is an in-college scholarship awarded to all individuals not already on scholarship who receive an enrollment allocation and thus are selected to commission into the Air or Space Force. It pays $18,000 per year for two years and cannot be applied to graduate studies.

Housing Conversion

All AFROTC scholarships are applicable toward tuition and fees, but can be converted into a $10k-per-academic-year “housing scholarship” applicable toward on-campus housing. This is for room only; board is not included, and the conversion must begin at the start of the fall academic term if exercised.
